Google has made a PR update somewhere between 31st Dec. 2009 to 1st Jan. 2010. Previous PR update was on 31st Oct. 2009.

Lazy Domaining has gone from PR2 to PR3.

Not that i give a lot of importance to PR but just that it feels good to start the year 2010 with PR3.

How to go to Google.com instead of say Google.co.uk or Google.co.in etc etc. When you type Google.com in your browser(say firefox) you will be directed to your country(cctld) version of Google i.e Google.co.uk if your ip is in UK or Google.co.in if your ip is in India etc. Here is an info which might be of use if you already are not aware of it.

If you want to go directly to Google.com instead of the individual country version of Google, then do one of the following

1. Type www.google.com/ncr in the browser which will prevent the redirection to the country version of Google and will directly take you to Google.com.

2. Type Google.com and lets say it takes you to Google.co.uk. Now there you will find a link back to Google.com with the following caption “Go To Google.com” at the bottom. You click this and you will go to Google.com.

3. You can even search for Google.com in the Google search and go from there. When you go to Google.com from the search result i.e by clicking a link the redirection won’t happen.
